Doggy daycare, overnights and extended stays in a comfortable and secure home — not a kennel.

Caring for dogs is my full-time job, so every pup in my home gets my complete attention. I’ve had pets my entire life and have four friendly dogs of my own: a border collie, a border collie mix and two Chihuahuas, three of whom joined our family through fostering.
My home sits on a couple of acres with a large, newly fenced yard, giving the dogs an area for play, exercise and potty breaks. I prepare homemade food and treats for my own dogs, and I bring that same level of care and affection to every pup who stays with me.
Your pup won’t be bored here! We do silly photo shoots, play with the bubble machine, splash in a small pool, take walks in the creek, work on puzzles and even enjoy relaxing massages.
Your pup stays right in my home, where they get a home environment and a new group of friends. Whether it’s a workday, a weekend away or a long trip, your pup gets the same love and care they get at home.

Drop off for the day — playtime, walks and plenty of attention while you’re at work or out and about.

Heading out for a night or a weekend? Your pup has a cozy sleepover at my home, bedtime cuddles included.

Away for longer? Extended stays give you peace of mind and lots of pictures while you’re gone.
I meet your pup first to make sure it’s a great fit.

Every flavor is homemade, with an ingredients list in every box.
Taste-tested by the pups I watch — everything has their seal of approval!
“Now she’s attached to ReNae’s hip.”
From our meet & greet, I knew A Bark Away From Home would be a great fit. ReNae is trustworthy and affordable. We just love her and the girls, she is so sweet to Olive. Olive is a rescue and connected to my hip, so I worry about her because she’s not too social with other pups and there’s some separation anxiety issues. (Me. I’m the issues) Now she’s attached to ReNae’s hip. She has been so reassuring that Olive will receive the same love and treatment she gets at home. I get lots of pictures while I’m gone and you can tell Olive loves ReNae. She comes home smelling great with a cute lil scarf. We truly couldn’t be happier.
Here’s what pup parents usually ask before their first stay. Don’t see yours? Call or text me at (724) 396-7374.
No. Your dog stays in my home, not in a kennel run. I have cozy spots to rest, a large fenced yard to play in and plenty of one-on-one attention.
I take a maximum of 10 dogs at a time, so every pup still gets plenty of attention.
Yes. Every new pup starts with a meet & greet so I can learn their routine and make sure it’s a great fit. You can request one with the booking form below.
I welcome dogs up to 80 lbs. All dogs must be spayed or neutered, and I can’t accept females in heat.
For daycare, you can drop off anytime after 6:30am and pick up no later than 7:00pm.
Just your pup, their food and any medications. I have beds, blankets, bowls and lots of toys.
New guests get time to settle in their own space, separated by a gate so they can see the other dogs first. Once they’re comfortable, they join the group. Big and small dogs have separate areas if anyone needs a break.
Wherever your pup feels most comfortable. I have dog beds and blankets in every room.
Lots! We do silly photo shoots, play with the bubble machine, splash in a small pool, take walks in the creek, work on puzzles and enjoy relaxing massages. I take the dogs out every two to three hours for play, exercise and potty breaks.
Yes! I send daily photo updates, and often videos too, so you can see your pup having fun.
